Read this Russian play in the original on Самовар — free, no account needed, with Thomas Seltzer’s English translation beside the text.
English by Thomas Seltzer (1916), public domain. Swipe right on the text to read it beside the Russian, or tap the EN button on the right. Paired paragraph by paragraph. A literary translation is not a crib: the English follows the sense and the tone rather than the words, so a line here will rarely answer the Russian beside it one for one.
